Visited our kids ...

Last weekend we both flew to be with our kids in Sydney.

Our daughter was having back surgery, so I was already booked to go over and spend time helping her. Now with the dreadful news we had just been given, we felt it was important for the four of us to be together, as this was a time of great sadness, but also of support for each other.

We had a sad but wonderful time together.

Our daughter's surgery went well and she's now joined us in South Aussie.

Our son had two days off work and didn't play or sing in any bands while we were visiting, so we were able to be together as much as possible.

Much grieving was started. Hard, but important.

I am so sorry to hear the update on your husband's condition. It is a reminder for all of us to cherish and appreciate every moment with our friends and family.
Life just doesn't seem fair sometimes. I will continue to read your blog, and you are in my thoughts. Be strong and don't be afraid to lean on your fellow ortho bloggers for support. That's what we are here for.

I have no words to say what I am feeling for you. You are in my prayers, and I am thinking about you and your family.

This is awful. I'm so sorry. I just came to catch up and I'm just stunned at how quickly it happened. I don't know what to say other than that my thoughts are with you. I hope you have a wonderful time on the Ghan trip and flying business class and anything else you do together.

My goodness. I just came to see how your teeth were going after reading your comment on my blog...

I am so sorry to hear about your husband Karen. I can't even imagine how difficult that must be for your whole family. Glad that you were both able to spend the weekend with your children.
